Expect that some rehearsals students will be very busy and some rehearsals they will spend learning and watching others. That is the nature of a scripted show rehearsal process.
All students, regardless of role, will be expected to practice their lyrics and choreography at home between rehearsals so they are prepared to learn new material having already mastered the current material.
Rehearsals are weekly until the 2 weeks before the show. There will be added rehearsals. Once we arrive at the theatre, these are black out dates and no one is permitted to miss rehearsals. Missing tech or dress rehearsals can result in removal from the show. Mandatory Tech/Show Schedule at Sullivan Middle School Auditorium is a follows:

Saturday- Feb 3rd- Orange Cast- 10AM-2:30PM & Blue Cast- 3PM-7:30 PM

Specific costume/hair and makeup requirements will be presented as we get closer to the performances. Please note, some of the costume pieces and accessories will be shared between multiple actors, so staying diligent and aware of normal kid issues like lice, deodorant and things will be very important.
Performances will run February 8th-11th. Participation in all assigned performances is mandatory. All actors will have a minimum of 3 performances.
Both casts will have an opportunity to perform for Rock Hill School District students on Friday February 9th in the AM. They will need to take a day off from their normal school schedule to accommodate this. Performances are at 8:30 and 10:30, with our students arriving at 7:45 and pick up at 12.
Showtime Theatre Company's production team is all volunteer, and as such, they require a lot of assistance to create the caliber of production value we are known for. We require that all families contribute a minimum of 8 hours of volunteer time, with at least 4 hours of that in load in and 2 hours at load out. For those who cannot make that commitment, there is an option to make a donation of $80 in lieu of volunteer hours so we can hire someone to replace you.
There will be an in-studio cast party in their normal rehearsal time the week after the performances. We will look for volunteers to assist with those events as we get closer. The week after their cast party, they will have a week off from the Neo rehearsal time slot (normal classes are still in session. Then the week of Feb 26th, they return to their Nemo rehearsal time to begin rehearsals for the Kids Cabaret.
The Nemo cast members will continue in their assigned rehearsal times through May, to begin working on a Kids Cabaret which will be filmed for the August movie premiere. Then they will have a week or so off in early June and return for their summer evening training or summer camp choices.
Here is a form letter you can submit for your performer who is missing school for the Friday, February 9th performances for Sullivan Middle School. There is no guarantee they will excuse your child, but this may help.

DescargarClick on the Google Drive to access a folder of all Nemo Rehearsal resources for both casts. Please note that the choreography is the same between the two casts and sometimes we will only record one cast. Students can practive movements with either.
** Some student email addresses that have been given to them through their school (ex: jsmith@forthmillschools.org) will not allow them to access the drive through that email address because Showtime's email is not in the schools domain. It may require you to use an email account that is not associated with a school district.
